A Devotional Reflection for Today

Our first instinct is usually to ask, “Why?”
Yet God often invites us to ask a different question:
“Lord, what are You teaching me while I wait?”
The Christian life has never been about knowing every detail of tomorrow. Instead, it is about learning to trust the One who holds tomorrow.
Abraham followed God without knowing where he was going.
Moses led Israel through a wilderness he had never crossed before.
David waited years before becoming king.
The disciples left everything to follow Jesus without fully understanding what lay ahead.
Their confidence was not in their own ability to predict the future. Their confidence rested in God’s faithfulness.
That same invitation remains today.

Sometimes God guides us through clear opportunities.

Waiting is never wasted when it is spent with God.
One of the greatest dangers in modern life is the desire for complete certainty before taking a step of faith. We want guarantees. We want every question answered first.
Faith works differently.
Faith listens.
Faith obeys.
Faith trusts.
Faith continues walking even when the road disappears into the horizon.
This is exactly what Proverbs teaches us. We surrender our understanding because God’s wisdom is infinitely greater than ours.
His delays are not His absence.
His silence is not His rejection.
His timing is never accidental.
