Our Thoughts On What the Bible Says About Spiritual Strength
Spiritual strength is the foundation everything else is built. When it’s strong, you can weather storms that would otherwise destroy you. When it’s weak, even minor challenges feel overwhelming. This is why Scripture emphasizes being strengthened with power through the Spirit in your inner being, not just improving external circumstances.
The paradox of spiritual strength is that it increases through dependence, not independence. The more you rely on God’s power rather than your own, the stronger you become. Paul discovered this when God told him, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” His spiritual strength wasn’t diminished by his weakness. It was activated by it.
Building spiritual strength requires intentionality. You have to build yourself up in your most holy faith. Pray in the Spirit. Stay rooted in God’s Word. Seek His face always. Look to the Lord and His strength rather than relying on your own resources.
The promise is that those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They’ll go from strength to strength. Not because they’ve become spiritually impressive, but because they’ve learned to draw from an unlimited power source.

Heavenly Father, my spiritual strength is depleted, and I need You to restore it.
