The parable of the talents directly addresses investment. The servants who grew their master’s money were praised, while the one who buried his talent out of fear was condemned. God expects us to steward resources wisely, which includes making them grow rather than just preserving them. Ecclesiastes goes further, explicitly recommending diversification by investing in multiple ventures because you don’t know which will succeed. Biblical wisdom isn’t about avoiding all risk but about managing it intelligently.
Proverbs repeatedly emphasizes seeking counsel before making financial decisions. Nobody has all the answers, and the person who refuses advice is setting themselves up for failure.
