When I study these passages about soul ties and spiritual bonds, what strikes me most is how seriously God takes the connections we form. Scripture reveals that intimacy, whether physical, emotional, or spiritual, creates real spiritual bonds that can either bless or curse our lives depending on their nature and origin.
The Bible shows us that some soul ties are God-ordained, like the bond between David and Jonathan or the covenant connection between husband and wife. These relationships strengthen our relationship with God and align with His purposes. But ungodly soul ties, formed through sexual immorality, occult practices, trauma bonding, or covenant relationships with unbelievers, can create spiritual channels that give the enemy legal access to our lives.
