He promises to restore the strength you didn’t even know you’d lost. To replenish reserves you thought were permanently empty.
The question isn’t whether God can renew your strength. He absolutely can. The question is whether you’ll stop long enough to let Him.

Our Thoughts On What the Bible Says About God Renewing Strength
God’s renewal doesn’t work like human rest. You can sleep for twelve hours and wake up still exhausted because physical rest doesn’t address soul weariness. But when God renews your strength, He touches places exhaustion has penetrated that rest can’t reach.
The promise in Isaiah 40:31 is specific: those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. Not those who work harder. Not those who try to manufacture energy through sheer willpower. Those who wait. Those who hope. Those who stop striving and start trusting.
God gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. He doesn’t require you to get stronger before He helps. He meets you in your weakness and makes you strong through His power, not yours.
This is countercultural. We’re taught to push through, to keep going no matter what. But God’s way is different. He invites you to acknowledge your weakness, to admit you’re depleted, to come to Him empty so He can fill you with strength that isn’t your own.
Real renewal happens when you stop relying on yourself and start depending entirely on Him.

Heavenly Father, I’m empty and I need You to fill me.
I’ve been running on fumes for too long. I’m physically exhausted, emotionally drained, and spiritually depleted. I’ve tried to keep going in my own strength, and I have nothing left to give. I’m weary in ways that sleep won’t fix.
But Your Word promises that those who hope in You will renew their strength. That You give power to the weak and strength to the weary. That You arm me with strength and keep my way secure. I’m claiming those promises right now.
Renew me from the inside out. Restore my soul. Refresh what’s been depleted. Give me supernatural strength that doesn’t come from coffee or willpower but from Your Spirit working in me. Let me soar on wings like eagles, run and not grow weary, walk and not be faint.
Teach me to stop striving and start resting in You. Help me to recognize that my strength doesn’t come from trying harder but from trusting You more. Be my refuge and strength, my ever-present help in trouble.
Fill me with Your power. Increase my strength when mine fails. Let Your joy become the source of my strength when my own reserves are gone.
